Recreational Vehicle Camping

Many camping enthusiasts prefer to make use of larger, self-sufficient recreational vehicles or mobile homes. Quite often these "small homes on wheels" offer modern luxuries typically found back at the house such as bathrooms, cooking facilities, furniture, and even televisions. As such, they require a campground setting that can adequately meet their needs. Such needs usually include campsite water hook-ups, electricity hook-ups, and nearby facilities for sewage disposal. The Superior National Forest does not have any specific campgrounds that can fully accommodate RV users who require this high level of service. However, 3 developed campgrounds can accommodate RV use.  They are: Fall Lake near Ely, MN, Whiteface Reservoir near Aurora, MN, and Trails End near Grand Marais, MN.
