L. Anderson The North Shore State Trail
follows Lake Superior 146 miles from Duluth to Grand Marais. The
multi-purpose trail is known for its winter snowmobiling.
During non-winter months the trail is used for hiking, mountain biking,
and horseback riding.
Approximately 70 miles of the trail are suitable for non-snowmobile
activities from Finland to Grand Marais. North
