Comments: We do not groom any
trails for skiing at George H. Crosby-Manitou State Park. It is a
great park for snowshoeing when snow allows. Presently what snow
there is very soft. Spring is here! The North Shore Snowmobile Trail
crosses a corner of the park.

View the Cascades on the Manitou
River. Park is eight miles Northeast of Finland Minnesota on Lake
County Road 7 (the Cramer Road) Winter lot near park entrance is
available and plowed. 21 backpack campsites are available all
winter. Self register at entrance kiosk.
Minnesota Ski
Pass Required. DIRECTIONS: From the village
of Finland, go 7 miles north on Lake County Road 7.

Comments: Plenty of base, deep
snow in the woods. No grooming or new snow is needed here, but
rather cooler temps. Naturally, the best skiing will be in 2-3 hour
pockets at both extremes of the daylight span.

37.1 km trackset. Mature red and
white pine forest and large stands of birch; much wildlife including
deer and moose; excellent winter bird watching. Trail shelter. Ski
rental available. Maps along trail.
Minnesota Ski Pass Required.
DIRECTIONS: From Isabella, 6 mi N on Hwy 1 to Mitiwan Lk Rd, N
.75 mi to Flathorn Picnic Area parking lot.

Comments:
Trail conditions for skiing and snowshoeing
at Snowshoe Country Lodge are excellent, with about 20 inches of
good powder snow.
We have had no thawing conditions, and have
received 2” supplements every four days or so.

Located between Ely and Isabella on Highway 2 and provide log cabin
lodging year-round.

Comments: The trail from Finland
to the Caribou parking lot was groomed for the last time this season
on Saturday, March 22. Scattered bare spots & areas are on the trail
from the Alger parking lot to just north of Finland. Our groomers
made their way from Finland to the Alger parking lot on Wednesday,
March 26 so we could get our equipment back to the shop. The trail
from Two Harbors to just south of Tofte is in fair condition and the
trail from Tofte north towards Grand Marais is in good condition.
Expect spring riding conditions.
