Gunflint Snowmobile Trails

| The Gunflint Trail snowmobile
system has over 100 miles of trails and links up to the 146 mile North
Shore State Trail. The Gunflint system includes the Gunflint
Snowmobile Trail, Express Way, Mushquash Trail, Swamper Trail, and
Clearwater Spur.
The secluded trails wind along the historic Gunflint Trail and provide for a beautiful journey. Be cautious of moose, fox, wolves, deer, and other creatures that may be sharing the trail. Snowmobiling is not permitted in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Parking is available at the North Shore State Trail head in Grand Marais, at Devil Track Lake, and at Trails End and South Brule River on the Gunflint. Gas is available in Grand Marais, Lakewind Store on Devil Track, Gunflint Pines Resort, Hungry Jack Lodge, Trail Center, Norwester Lodge, and Windigo Lodge. |
