
Crane Lake is
located 28 miles northeast of Orr,
MN. The small resort community is a popular entry
point into both Voyageurs National Park and the
Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA), making it a great
destination for boating, canoeing, snowmobiling, and
fishing. Crane Lake is part of the Namakan
Reservoir, which also includes Kabetogama, Little
Vermilion, Namakan and Sand Point lakes. The area is
home to many game fish and pan fish, including
Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, Sauger, Bluegill,
Crappie, Sturgeon, Whitefish, and Perch.
Crane Lake is also a U.S.
Customs port for seaplane traffic.
