This has been an exciting week. On Saturday
we hiked on the Superior Hiking
Trail (SHT) from Temperance River State park to Britton Peak. The
trail led through Carlton Peak, which was extremely beautiful. The
whole hike was well worth the 4.8 miles.
Tuesday we went on the Lima Mountain road and the Lima Grade road
and saw some interesting bog flowers.
Wednesday we went back to the Old Ski Hill road and hiked both
ways on the SHT. Going to the left was probably one of the most
beautiful wild flower gardens we have seen. We plan to go there again.
After that we went to the Pincushion Mountain Scenic Overlook and ate
lunch and hiked around identifying (or trying to identify) many things
with different leaves. On some we will have to go back when they are in
bloom.
