This is the beginning of our 24th year of looking at wildflowers in Cook County, MN. We are three senior women who just love to get out and explore and learn new things. We are even getting together all winter but don't find too many flowers at that time, but no matter.

Wildflower season is soon approaching.  Within the next couple weeks we should begin finding our little friends peeking through forest floor.  This week we enjoyed a wiener roast at Cascade River State Park.  With the ice and snow melting away, Spring time is a wonderful time to visit the many falls and go hiking at the state parks along the North Shore.
