In thinking about Noxious Weeds, some things may have been planted here not knowing that in time they may become a problem. People are now thinking that Bird's-foot Trefoil, pretty as it may be is now crowding other native plants out. It seems that the highway folks are now planting Alfalfa and all of a sudden there is lots in many places. Tansy and Canada Thistle are taking over in many places now. We first saw Valerian only near Ward lake and around Duluth - now it is in many places. Mary planted Spotted Knapweed in Boulder Park because it was beautiful and we only saw it in one place on County rd #7. Now it is so invasive and hard to get rid of.

Other things blooming were: Goldenrod, Black-eyed-Susan's, Pearly Everlasting, Scentless Chamomile, Asters, Cattails and beautiful Grasses.
